About iron workshops at the Museum of Steel Sculpture in Coalbrookdale Shropshire:
First run in July 2001, these workshops were a part of a collaboration between the University of Wolverhampton, Kentucky University, Alabama Art Casting and Pam Brown at Coalbrookdale. The workshops were mainly led by Rick and another sculptor Gerry Masse carried on until I think about 2006. They ran for four weeks each year and involved combinations of artists staying for a week at a time and 1 day scratch block workshops with local school groups. Nick Lloyd hopes to re-invoke something of their spirit at an event summer 2011 as part of the Wrexham Eistedfodd with other sculptors from Wales.
